Dual Credit Opportunities
LHS students have an opportunity to graduate with an Associate degree while in high school. LHS partners with IU, ISU, VU, and Ivy Tech to offer over 90 dual credit opportunities. These courses are offered at a significantly reduced price, and some are completely free. The majority of courses will transfer to four year universities and save LHS graduates thousands in tuition expenses.
Drone Coursework
LHS launched southern Indiana’s first high school drone course in the fall of 2020. Students are able to finish the year as FAA-certified commercial drone pilots ready to enter the workforce. Future pilots may go straight into the industry right out of class, potentially taking aerial surveys of land, aiding farmers, assisting police, other rescue services, and possibly even landing jobs with e-commerce giants like Amazon or eBay.
